I am so excited! I went to Goodwill and bought 9 kids books for 35 cents each. 7 of them are wish listed. Chaching.
How do you get books to post? Do you only post books after you read them or do you go hunting for books to swap? |

For the most part, these days, I'm just posting books when we are finished with them. I have a lot that were given to me, either by my grandma who is a retired teacher, or through freebie swaps at whatever point in time. Things I have tried that didn't work for us, etc. Other than homeschooling stuff, I keep my eyes out for book freebies. Lots of the time on craigslist or freecycle people will just give away a "lot" of books and I'll try to get dibs on that... but usually only if I think there's anything in it I could use or want. (For instance, I'm not personally going to pick up a box of only romance books just to try to post them. I might go pick up a box that HAS some romances if it ALSO has mysteries or fantasy I might actually read.)
I used to pick up random books for "cheap" but I can no longer justify spending money on something I won't personally use. 35 cents really is a good deal though! WOOT!!! |

I try to pick up extra books at library book sales when it is box day. We just recently moved and a gave away loads of books so we would not have to move them, so now I am waiting until April for the next book sale fill my shelf. I just started homeschooling so it will be awhile before I can post my homeschool material, but I am so greatful for all the homeschool books other people post. I always keep my eyes open for homeschool books that I dodn't plan use to post on here.

No, I do not go shopping just for books to post on pbs. But if I am presented with books I know will move, I feel comfortable spending up to a dollar or two. Great shopping trip to your Goodwill!
