This book has some really great picnic suggestions, but the menu is really intended for a foodie who has access to markets that stock exotic ingredients. It's not practical for someone whose only access to food might be standard box grocery stores. For example, one recipe was cherry tomatoes stuffed with minted goat cheese. Sounds delicious, but by the time I went to the cheese store, the grocery store and the farmer's market, my impromptu picnic would instantly become a chore. If you want to plan your picnic in advance and have access to some of the more hard-to-find ingredients, then this book is for you.
