We became aware over the holidays that Comcast was blocking PaperBackSwap emails. That means that they would simply not deliver the email (it didn't go to the inbox or to the junk or spam folder; it just never arrived)! That included all system emails plus any email we sent in response to a feedback message. It got pretty frustrating for members who thought we were ignoring them! Wow, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention ! This is just one example of how much control internet providers have over what we can and cannot see on the net. It is a much larger problem than only PBS emails. We should all be concerned about blocked internat content, and wary about what does and does not come up in search engine results. Internet providers have a great deal of control over information we are allowed to see and information that is blocked. Last Edited on: 1/5/17 2:31 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
