Just off the top of my head, I would suggest Francesca Lia Block.  The Dangerous Angels books are wonderful (and all five books are readily available in one 500 page volume).  Her other stuff is really wonderful too, but everything else you should consider the age levels and maturity levels.  Judy Blume's "adult" books are wonderful as well.  Summer Sisters in particular is a great read.  Hmm...I'm sure I'll walk away from my computer, so when I do I'll let you know.

Francine Pascal has a series called Fearless that are very good books. They are about a girl named Gaia who has no fear. The series cronicals her life in New York discovering her father's past and finding love.

My daughter is doing the Stephenie Meyer series.

And she just loved Once/Twice Upon a Marigold by Jean Ferris.  She's 13.  Plus, she flipped over the A-List series and Clique Series.   And Sarah Dessen is also great for teen romance.
