I'm looking for a good war book.  Doesn't matter what war.  I want something that has a good story line and is easy to follow.

The Light in the Ruins and Sandcastle Girls by Chris Bojalian are both war related and excellent books!

And I endorse Cheryl's recommendation. The Book Thief is one of the few books I have reread in recent years. An all-time favorite!

You might also look for The Passing Bells by Phillip Rock ... WW I.

I'll try to think of some others for you, Karen. Do you like Civil War? Revolutionary War?
