Well, considering that tomorrow is the last day of the year, it seems that today isn't really too soon to begin the dissection of this year's challenge. So...what did you think? Did you finish? Just the challenge or everything? Did you finish only a few books? Anyone still reading? Check in here to tell us how you did, what you liked/disliked, whether you'll do the 2012 challenge or anything else you want to chat about! |

I finished everything long ago and debated about doing it a second time. Anxious for 2012! You do a super job with the challenges LeeAnn. |

LeeAnne --- Much to my amazement, I finished the WHOLE thing a bit ago!!! For months I thought I was the slowest one in the pack and was a bit disconcerted, but somehow did it and enjoyed it immensely. Am certainly signed up for next year. As to opinions about the Challenge in general: I think you did a magnificent job compiling the entire thing. There was not one thing I would have changed. You have managed to do it again for 2012!!! Hip Hip Hooray for you!!! P.S. to Geri --- Aren't you so clever thinking to do it a SECOND time!!! (hee hee) As always, you will forever have my tag for the Evelyn Woods Speed Reader of the ages!!! Am I the only one here that remembers all those commercials "way back when" about the speed reading course???? Last Edited on: 12/31/11 11:06 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I finished the main challenge yonks ago...still had a couple of the colors and continents bonus categories left. I was somewhat hampered by not being able to purchase any books per my self-imposed resolution--had some on my WL that never came through and also weren't available at the library. Once I knew I was going to be missing more than one and wouldn't finish the whole thing, I lost interest in the couple of other color categories that I could have finished. I will do the 2012 challenge, but honestly? Aside from the alliteration one, it's really too easy to be called a 'challenge' per se, since most of the categories are easily filled by books I have on my TBR or on my library list that I was going to read anyway....what's challenging about that? LOL I probably will just read what I want to and slot books into the categories as I go along. I am going to be very busy for the first couple of months at least, so likely won't get really serious until later in spring. Cheryl Last Edited on: 12/31/11 1:56 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I finished by the skin of my teeth. I had a lot of fun with this one and found some great authors I hadn't read before. I'm definately looking forward to the next one. |

I finished the standard challenge but not the bonuses. For me, that's doing pretty good since I get side tracked so easily with all kinds of other books! |

This was the first time I attempted a challenge, so I think I did pretty well! I finished the main challenge, but not the bonuses. I'm starting my first book for the 2012 challenge today. Well, I'm hoping it will count, if I can figure out what borough of NYC in which it's set. If not, I want to read it anyway - and I have another waiting that is clearly set in Queens! Happy New Year, everyone! |

2011 was my first challenge. I finished the main challenge and read a couple of bonus books. I have my name on the 2012 list and hope to finish the main and the bonuses as well this year. Thanks for setting it up. |
