This is probably a question where I should contact PBS directly, but does anyone know if there are plans to be more compatible with Google Chrome? After tiring of Internet Explorer, and trying out Firefox only to find that it also has bugs, I've settled on Google Chrome as my favorite browser. The only problem is that since it's relatively new, not all sites support it. PBS works as far as posting and ordering books, etc., but it's a pain when I try to post on these boards. When I submit, it doesn't recognize things like hard returns, so I have to actually insert HTML tags to start new paragraphs. Also, when I copy a link in IE and paste it into a message, it keeps the link, but when I do the same in Chrome, it just keeps the text, and I have to again put in the HTML tags if I actually want the link to work. I still have IE on my computer, so I can always go use that if I'm going to be copying a lot of links or something, but it would be nice if I could just do everything in Chrome.

What "bugs" did you find with Firefox?  I have a Mac and I had to switch from Safari to Firefox in order to do any sort of formatting here on the forums.  Safari was fine for order, searching, compiling lists etc but it was pretty ugly here.  Firefox is working much better.

Firefox worked fine for PBS. But for some reason, I sometimes had problems with other sites. The most common was videos not playing. They'd work fine one day, then the next day, no in-browser videos would work on any website. It may have just been something with my computer.

That sounds more like a plug-in issue, rather than a browser issue.   When I first downloaded firefox 3.0, I did have some problems with it, it would crash frequently, etc., but with the further updates it has been fine.

I already contacted PBS and they said that they only have so much time to support certain browsers and they don't know how long until they can support Chrome. I love Chrome :(

I was wondering how it is different from regular Google??  I started with PBS on IE and didn't have any problems.  I downloaded Firefox and use that some of the time and IE the rest of the time.  Haven' had too many problems with either.

Google Chrome is a web browser (like IE or Firefox), not a fancier search engine (like Google). It's just made by the people who came up with Google. In my opinion, it combines the best aspects of IE and Firefox. The only drawback, as I mentioned above, is that it's a newer and less-used browser, so sometimes you'll run across web sites that don't support it.
