This book clearly shows that there is no eternal life without surrender to the lordship of Christ. MacArthur shows that faith without works is dead, and deadly because a faith without works is no faith at all. Faith is dead if it lacks the fruit of true righteousness. Salvation is defined not by what one does to get it but by what it produces; it is the outworking of regeneration in one's life. This is a very interesting, thought-provoking and challenging book!
