This was an okay start to a story, although I don't think I'll read any more of the series. The main plot has little to do with Gothic fashion or sensibilities. There is also very little sports, making the first book seem nothing like the title. Sure, the main character and her friends start a soccer team, but you never see them play in this book. Yes, one of the girls on the team makes them "Goth" looking uniforms, but there wasn't any reason why.
I'm sure in the next books they will get into the soccer team more, and explain why the main character is upset a certain guy goes to this new school, and she and her nemesis will have some sort of show down. I just don't think I'll stick around to read it.
