Mitch Bushyhead, Police Chief of Bucksin, Oklahoma, in the middle of the Cherokeey Nation, finds a dead man, who was a Cherokee, and missing two fingers, severed at the time of his death. When Mitch starts digging and finds too many loose pieces in a growing puzzle, such as an estranged wive, mysterious lover, fueding brother, not to mention a secret Cherokee society who is dedicated to preserving the old ways.
