I like Rapunzel's Revenge by Shannon Hale, Coraline the Graphic Novel by Neil Gamain and the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" books by Jeff Kinney. Also, for more mature readers Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi and Maus by Art Spiegelman are really intense but really good. Last Edited on: 11/18/08 10:58 PM ET - Total times edited: 2 |

Saint Tail is a manga but its very cute and I think its rated A (all ages). The lead is a girl in.. middle school(?) that returns stolen items to their rightful owners. |

Bone by Jeff Smith is great for girls. My nieces are 11 and they LOVE Bone (and so do I). Also, the Bone series is turning up on lists of Graphic Novels To Read Before You Die... so, it is entirely worthy The Nieces also like Marvel Comics Power Pak. They are sold in small paperback digest forms. The Power Pak is a family of superhero kids that interact with main Marvel heros: Hulk, Fantastic Four, Superfriends and many more. I gave them the first Bone and the first Power Pak and they asked for more also, Kazu Kibuishi has a great fantasy graphic novel called Amulet...........visually amazing -k Last Edited on: 3/30/09 1:34 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
