This was a great story! The characters are so well developed. A wealthy woman is taking a rest cure at a luxurious hotel (spa) and is found dead in her room. At first, suicide is suspected, but upon further investigation by Inspector Alleyn, foul play may be more likely. The woman's recent change to her will may shed some light on the case. A very recent acquaintance she met at a neighbor's dinner party turns out to be the new medical man at the spa...a man who she becomes infatuated with and includes in her new will. The many other people with possible motives include her neighbor who covets her beautiful home and grounds, her daughter who won't be forced into a loveless marriage her mother prefers, her ne'er-do-well stepson who has a police record and no money, or maybe someone who knows something about the family's loss of a very, rare stamp during WWII. You won't be able to put the book down!
