Nikiya Adams travels from England to Sydney to research the endangered species breeding programs of the Royal Prince Albert Zoo. Arriving at the zoo she is plunged into a web of intrigue and mounting fear as Dr River's plans for modernising the zoo come under attack.

I looked for this book for over a year.  Amazon and Barnes and Nobles had copies for $30.00+.  I finally found a copy on Bookmooch from Australia.  It had some mild staining, but was completely readable.  Unpostable, of course, through PBS.

Martin and Lydia Napier's marriage is shaky. Fate has been cruel and they are both still reeling from the blows. They leave Sydney and hit the road for a holiday in what should be paradise.

I read this book before City of Animals.  It had everything I liked in a book.  The power of nature,  rising floodwaters ,especially.  I have had this book on  my bookshelf for quite a while, but no one takes an interest in it.

These are both great books.  If you are into nature or not.
