M.C. Beaton's cozy mysteries about Hamish Macbeth  are great!! He is a Constable in Lochdubh in the Scottish Hightlands and every book I have read with Hamish as the main character is wonderful - even addictive! The characters are warm and fuzzy and often unusual, and the plots contain fun, silly, light episodes. Filled with suspense and humor,  I even love Hamish's dog! Though famous for solving mysteries and murders, Hamish does not want to rise in the ranks or be promoted away from Lochdubh!  And the women seem to flock around him,  even though he rarely chatches one!!

I shall try to read them all!!!

I agree! I discovered the Hamish MacBeth books several years ago and I've read them all. They are quite fun and enjoyable. I like them better than the Agatha Raisin books but I still have to read them with breaks in between because M.C. Beaton can get a bit formulaic. Still, I do love this series. :)
