I was just posting some books and saw this on the page before you accept:

Are you meaning to post one of these other book types?

Then there was a list of other ISBN's for the book.  That is a great idea and will probably cut down on the number of mis-posted books.  Now, if they could only do something about the books where the publishers have the same ISBN for a hardback as a paperback!  But, that's not within their control.

I don't think it's new.

Sometimes it confuses people because the cover art doesn't match and leads some to post under the wrong ISBN.

This is not a new feature and I think it actually increases the # of miss posted books.  People put in the ISBN # to post a book and then get confused by the listing of others and click one with a cover that matches theirs.

That's not a new statement. It's always been there. Wonder how you've missed it all this time?

And it doesn't help people post their books correctly at all. I believe it causes people to mis-post as much as anything. Just my opinion on the statement.

Kate,

You ma have missed it  because it only comes up if your book has other version.  Could be the books you  had posted thus far have no other versions available.

Wow, I can't believe I have missed it in the past.  Maybe that was off my screen at the bottom of the page or something.  Oh well, I kind of like it anyway.

As others have said, IMO it actually increases the mis-posted books. There is no usefulness in that section if they are properly posting a book by the ISBN. The only time I think people use it, they are selecting a different binding because the ISBN pulls up a different one that they have, and along with that they select an incorrect ISBN.

Kate, I'm blind to so much stuff on my screen!  I'm sure I've missed many things that have been obvious to others.  As far as I'm concerned, you are allowed to be tickled to find it. lol  I'll have to watch more carefully when I post my next books because, honestly, I didn't remember seeing that for myself because mine mostly have matched.
