I see people in search of these, so I thought I'd throw out a plug for a new book I just read: "Carousel Tides" by Sharon Lee. She and her husband apparently have a series in another vein of fantasy, but this one is different for her.

And very welcome to me! It's set in contemporary Maine, with a heroine who seems like a regular person but who has magical powers. There are selkies, dryads, fairies and lots of magic taking place (the center of action is an amusement park), while the real world goes about it's business. And it's a quick read.....

Thanks for the rec!  I'd seen the book available on Webscriptions last month and have been contemplating it ever since. 

I haven't tried any of her fantasy series yet but I'm a fan of her Liaden series (sci-fi) and urban fantasy in general, so I'll have to give it a try.
