This book was much too technical for me. I don't want to read cattle statistics. I thought it might get interesting when it started to discuss cowboy songs, but that part wasn't very stimulating either.

Someone who knows much more about the Plains than I do might very well like the book. I have no doubt that it was thoughtfully researched and well written. It just wasn't for me, that's all.
