I've been shopping online for Ilex crenata 'Sky Pencil', since I haven't been able to locate a local store that has it. Today, I came across Shenandoah Nurseries that has 7 gallon pots for as much as I'd pay elsewhere for a 1 gallon.

I couldn't find anything on the site about only selling wholesale, and then I saw it...$1500 minimum order. Eugh! We've got a friend who's building a house, so I'm going to see what he's going to do for landscaping, what his landscaping budget is, and if he'd be willing to let me do his ordering so I could hop on. I'm not holding my breath on that, but yargh to them teasing those of us who don't do massive orders!

I looked and S&S had them but I know their shipping is high.  They seem very iffy as to being hardy here, plus the sheep were out munching on my holly anyway today :(

Maybe someplace will get them in?  Mussers carries things here sometimes.

I'm almost thinking I should look over the boxwood selections but I don't know how bad the "fragrance" would be.  The sheep never seemed to eat the old one.  I should try to care if I want something.

I broke down and decided to place an order with Fantastic Plants, last night. They have a rep for sending plants larger than the advertised size, so I'm pretty sure a 24-30" plant will be at least that. They were a bit pricier than some other places, but their shipping was extremely reasonable compared to their competitors. I could have ordered them from Home Depot, but I've never had good luck with plants ordered from their site.

LOL on the sheep. My uncle had sheep and they wandered over to a neighbors and ate all of their hedges down, boxwoods, azaleas, everything.

Fantastic Plants has a 'columnar plants' section on their site that you might want to check out.

If you check out the garden watchdog site (www.gardenwatchdog,com) they have a plant finder, where you can enter the name of the plant you are looking for and it will show which places carry it and their location.
