I always had a curiosity about that early-60's glamour era, and vaguely remembered images of Maria Callas for some reason... maybe my mom had an album of hers or something. After I read this book I became fascinated with her as an artist and her life story is like an opera in itself- dramatic, passionate, and tragic. This is a very interesting book if you are nosy (like I am) about celebrities of the past particularly the "beautiful people" of the swingin' 50's and 60's....LONG LIVE LA DIVINA!
