This is a great classic children's book with a moral: don't knock something before you try it first! I love Dr. Seuss! How can anyone not enjoy the wonderful Dr. Seuss with his colorful, quirky illustrations, and funny rhymes? I remember reading this book many times as a young child. I have read it to my own children countless times and have had my children read it to me many times too, great beginner book for children learning to read! If you haven't read this book, you have missed a treat!

Back in 1957, Theodor Geisel responded to an article in Life magazine that lamented the use of boring reading primers in schools. Synopsis

A crowd of open-mouthed onlookers watch in suspense as the old grouch takes a bite. And?...SAY!
