Another great Tommy Hambledon romp. Mistaken for a scientist developing a new explosives formula, Tommy is brought to Germany to work for the Reich. With his usual panache Tommy wrecks havoc among the German military while avoiding being recognized as Hitler's (now deceased) Chief of Police (see Drink to Yesterday). Goebels, Goering, and Adolf all make appearances as Tommy Hambledon, secure in his certainly that 'some opportunity will no doubt present itself', manages another wild odyssey through the world of WWII espionage. Tense, but leavened with typical Manning Coles understated humor that makes Hambledon such an endearing character. Move over, Bond--make room for Tommy Hambledon.
