This one is excellent. I felt like the people in the book were my friends. I hope we see more of these people. The book ended to soon. Ralph Compton is one of the best of the western writers. He makes it seem like you have just dropped in for a visit with these folks. The sound effects are excellent and make you feel like you are there. The story covers 4 cowboys that have come out of the gold fields of California to establish a large ranch on the Green River. They are orginally from Texas and they go home to get to buy a herd to take back to the Green River. What happens to them on their ride to the Green River. There are some interesting plots of the Mormons, and why they try and take over the land. All in all this story calls to be continued.
