FUNCTIONAL METHOD
The Functional Method of teaching Gregg Shorthand has for many years been used with great success by thousands of teachers of the system. The Functional Method type of presentation, fundamentally a language-art type of teaching, allows much scope for the ingenuity of the individual teacher within the framework of language-art teaching. It is distinguished, in general, by the use of a reading approach of approximately 20 class periods, by the provision of a printed key to the shorthand plates, and by the absence of verbalizations of rules or principles.
GREGG SHORTHAND, DIAMOND JUBILEE SERIES
This edition of Gregg Shorthand, issued during the Diamond Jubilee year of the publication of the system, has two primary objectives:
1. To enable the student to learn Gregg Shorthand more quickly and easily. This ease of learning is accomplished through the revision of the shorthand system, which reduces the "learning load."
