Ingredients
  • 1 3 oz - Package Fat-Free Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 cup - finely diced green pepper
  • 1/4 cup - chopped ripe green olives*with pimientos*
  • 1/2 Teaspoon - Worchestershire sauce
  • 12 Slices - Rye*preferred* or Wheat bread/White if allergic
  • 4 slices - Provolone cheese * Low fat*
  • 4 slices - Fresh tomato sliced medium
  • 4 slices - Sharp Cheddar Cheese* low fat*
  • 4 slices - Sliced swiss cheese* Low Fat*
  • 4 slices - Sweet red Onion
  • 4 Tablespoons - Fat-Free Margarine softened well*
Directions
  1. Beat cream cheese with mixer till light and fluffy. Stir in Green pepper, olives and worchestershire sauce. Beat 1 minute.
  2. Spread each slice of bread with equal amount of the cream cheese spread.
  3. For all four sandwiches,  top with one silce of provolone cheese, one silce of tomato, another slice of bread one slice of cheddar cheese, a slice of onion, the swiss cheese then the third slice of bread.
  4. Butter lightly  *both unspread sides* on a lightly greased skilled.
  5. Cook and cover on low heat till the sandwiches are lightly browned and cheeses melted.
  6. Serve by cutting into quadrants (fours) diagonally. Use toothpicks to hold together.

Wonderful served with fresh dill pickles and watermellon for desert or another fresh fruit.

* A Favorite lunchtime treat for guests or hungry family*

 

**Jalapeno peppers diced may be substitued to green peppers for those not faint at heart**
