Cats, cats and more cats comprise these dozen tales from three authors. This British book begins with the hilarious account of Leopold, a large cat who discovers he can fly. Other stories are not so light, such as "Strauss," a cat whose forebears have been exposed to increased amounts of radiation. When the world is destroyed by a nuclear blast, only Strauss, his mate and their new litter saunter out from the laboratory to greet a devastated world. Although cat lovers will assuredly pounce upon this book, even cat haters will enjoy the wide variety of tales presented, ranging from suspense to science fiction, fantasy to realistic fiction. It's hard to imagine YAs not enjoying this book.
