Like the people of long ago, we want to bring our children to Jesus for his blessing. We want them to experience God's love through Jesus Christ. We want to do whatever we can to help them grow in faith.

The simplicity of the text and the lovely illustrations in this book make a good beginning for exploring the faith with children. The seven stories introduce young children to seven basic concepts of the Christian faith:

"God Must Like to Laugh" explores the joy of God as Creator.

"I Can Talk With God" helps the young child learn about prayer.

"I Know Who Jesus Is" takes the child to Jesus' time to learn who Jesus is and leave the child with the assurance that Jesus is still very close to children even today.

"My Big Family at Church" is an introduction to the community of faith and its ministry.

"God's Love Is For Sharing" is about discipleship, ways even young children can respond to God's love.

"God Is Always With Me" approaches the concept of eternal life.

"God Makes Us Different" points out that despite differences in personality and physical traits, all people are the same in many important ways, and all are beautiful and special in God's eyes.
