This is an enjoyable book of many funny and interesting stories told by Marlo Thomas, which includes lots of memories of her own family and interviews with comedians she admires. I really her enjoyed her style of writing and her own sense of humor and this book was a very fun read - I'm not even a big fan of hers - but the book stands by itself as a great story.

Well written and I liked how, intersperced with the chapters were the best joke of the particular comedian she had interviewed. The insights into her and her family's life were fun, interesting and sometimes inspiring. I was thankful for the pictures that were included of her family and so many famous entertainers from another era. A great relaxing and slightly irreverent at times read.

Marlo's writing is very fluent and at times, quite comical. I flew through this book only because I skipped through her interviews with other comedians because I soley wanted to read about her life. You find out how wonderful of a relationship she had with her father, plus the struggles it took for her to remove herself from his shadow. Good read.
