Because once again, I posted a book directly to someone and it offered it to someone else.  It's the 2nd book of a series and I was going to send her the 1st one with it-I have an unpostable copy and she wants to try this author.  So I just had to PM the person, explain what happened, ask them to accept so I can cancel it w/o them losing their place in line.  I feel like an ass now.

I know--  I realized that I had posted a hardback under a paperback, and then I was stuck!!  My own stupidity, but it made it more frustrating because the person really didn't want a hardback, and then I had to explain that she had to accept (the losing the place in line thing).  I'm sure she thought I was a total dough-head.

I posted a book that I didn't realize had underlining in it and I'm now on the 2nd person.  I've PM'd both people (the first that timed out and now the 2nd one) and no replies.  I think there are a few more people in line and I guess I'll just have to send the PM again if the current wisher doesn't respond.

so I feel your frustration!

That's what I'm worried about. That this guy won't respond and I'll have to PM every person it offers it too until it gets to her.  I purposely looked for someone who wanted both books so I could send them out together.  She had HB on WL and I have paperback. So she took the HB off her WL and added the PB today. So she's the last person.

I think I'll get a response from the 1st person though. I checked their WL out and there's recently added books.  I was hoping I had another book in the TBR pile I could post to them. But no luck. I hope they're a nice forgiving person.

Leslie: at least your mistake is having a good result--it's clearing idle wishes out!

Well I didn't get a PM from the person who it went to by mistake. They hit accept though and I declined and a sent another apologizing PM.  If I didn't have the 1st book in the series as an unpostable, I would have just gone through FIFO.  But I specifically looked for someone who had both and would want the unpostable freebie.

I know Kayote, just frustrating having to wait!  But the 2nd person PM'd me back and we worked out a deal (another book off my shelf since this one was unpostable) so everyone is happy!
