Their chat was interrupted, however, when a bullet-riddled car pulled up and a smallish middleaged man wearing a trench coat leaped out and ran into the shop. Moments later he reappeared, muttered something that sounded like "the raveled sleeve!'and collapsed ath their feet, whereupon a large bullet hole in his back became rather apparent. "Will you look at that," said Prudence. "And to think that I just washed my shop floor about two minutes ago!'
