I mailed a cookbook that was in new condition. Of course it was when my printer was down, so I couldnt print out any tracking.  It went about 3 hours or so from me. OK I have 2 days left to get to the time limit. I have emailed the member a couple of times and of course she is a new member and she never replied, so I guess this one bit the dust ! sad

Kay, not necessarily.  Did you see if her account is open or closed?  I wouldn't send a message until after the book goes lost.  Then send a message, if she doesn't respond in 7 days contact the team.

Per the help docs :  A book I sent was lost in the mail

  • First, contact the requestor to confirm that the book was not received.

    • Sometimes the requestor just forgot to mark it received
    • Sometimes the requestor was away from home when the book arrived
    • If you don't hear back from the requestor within a week of sending a PM asking about the book, you should contact us to look into the situation.
    • You can contact the requestor using the PM button on the "lost" transaction in your transaction archive.

What Robin said -- if the book goes lost, and she hasn't replied in a week, go down to the bottom right corner of any page, and under "company" click on "contact us."  Use the Feedback option.  One reason to wait until after it goes lost is that if the server decides she isn't active -- she hasn't logged on in a while -- it may mark your book "received" instead of "lost."
