Debbie Reynolds will play Katherine Heigel's grandmother. Not sure if it's a big screen or TV movie.

Big screen movie. This info came out quite a while ago. Sheri Sheppard is Lula. I don't think I'd ever heard of the actors who play Joe and Ranger.

"Lionsgate has pulled the Katherine Heigl comedy thriller One for the Money from its summer slate to an undetermined date this year. The film, based on the popular Janet Evanovich novels about bail bondswoman Stephanie Plum, had been moved from July 8 to June 3 earlier this month to keep it out of the way of Sony Pictures’ The Zookeeper and Warner Bros.’ Horrible Bosses (both comedies). The June date, however, placed the film against Fox’s superhero mega-prequel X-Men: First Class. “We just want to find the right home for [the film],” a Lionsgate rep tells EW, “and that [date] didn’t feel like it.”

I am not sure that the characters they've chosen will agree with the readers' imagined characters which could prove to be disappointing.  It will be interesting to see how it does, considering the fan base that Evanovich has.

My imaginary Stephanie Plum is certainly not Katherine Heigel!!!!  Debbie Reynolds though is spunky enough to give a good performance as the grandmother.

I was reading in another forum and someone suggested Betty White as the grandmother.  I could definitely see that!  I think the character needs to be someone who can be a "little rough around the edges" and Betty fits that!  I need to look up and see what Debbie looks like these days, I'm not so familiar with her acting. When I last looked at the choices for Ranger and Morelli, neither seemed to fit in my opinion  :(  I still think "The Rock" should play Ranger!

I was thinking Shirley Maclaine would have been a good fit for Grandma
