Hello All,

I have an elderly neighbor (Miss Theresa) who loves to read.  I have a bookshelf full of books that I've let her borrow from but I only have books left that I would like to trade. The only problem is she's a heavy smoker so most books come back pretty smelly.  I don't have the heart not give her anymore books but they'll be very hard to trade after I let her use them.  As she is unable to get to the library and doesn't have a computer, I thought I might get the help from my follow swappers.

I'm almost certain she'll read almost any romance novel as long as it's not too spicey or mystery in nature. The condition doesn't have to be great just readable.  Her favorite author is Nora Roberts (I've given her everything off my shelf) but she recently asked me about Judith McNaught and  LaVyrle Spencer but any author like them will do.  .

I'm asking anyone who has a romance or two who's willing to send it to her to contact me so not to send duplicates.  I also belong to FrugalReader and Titletrader so I'm going to post it on there also.  I'd them sent directly to her so she can have little reader fairies sending her books every now again.  If I give them to her, she'll feel like she has to do something nice for me.

Thanks to everyone in advance for you help.

Tracey

I would really like to thank everyone again for their suggestions and gift of books.  I truly thought people would send a book or two not a box of books.  I don't know how I could forget how generous the people who use both PBS and FrugalReader are.

I, myself, starting using these sites because I was homebound due to a back injury.  Although I can get out more now, they came to be my saving grace over the last 4 years due to my limited supply of books from local library and  limited income.   I've met some really cool and honest people.  So I shouldn't have been surprised that people would be so openhanded.

Because people have been so giving, at this time I think I'm going ask that we don't send her anymore books.  With the so many books coming and my signing her up at the library for homebound service I think she should be set for a good while. :O))

Thank you again to everyone for their giving.

Tracey

If I missed acknowledging anyone please pm me.

Miss Theresa received her first package from Kristen today.  It was mailed to me so I hand delivered it. She was very surprised and elated to have them.  When I explained that more books where coming she was overwhelmed by peoples generousity and immediately asked what she can do to repay us.  I told her thank you was enough.  I think Kristen's is the only books coming to me so again I want to thank everyone in advance for their gift  of books.

Thanks again to everyone,

Tracey

Thanks Melissa,  I'll take you up on that offer.

She's gotten at least 3 boxes of books as far as I know.  I haven't seen her since before the holiday.  When I last spoke to her she had received a lot of Christina Dodd books.  So whoever sent those thank you.  She cheerfully laughed and said she hoped she lives long enough to read them all. :O))

I received another pm today  from a member here stating she'll send me books for her.  So, I just wanted to say thanks to Jennifer D. (nympherella).

your welcome Tracey.  After boxing up all the books, it emptied a shelf on my bookshelf and I was so thrilled.  Now it gives me a better idea on how many more books I need to figure out how to get rid of.

Mary,  I pm'd you.

Anyone, I listed in these posting, I counted as books that where being sent.  They don't all have to go out right away.  If someone doesn't have the money or the time to ship them anytime soon that's okay.  She has enough books now to hold off for awhile. PLEASE SHIP AT YOUR CONVENIENCE.   I just thought it would be nice to give her a variety of authors to choose from.    If you can't send them for any reason, thanks again for the thought.   I don't like she'll mind too much as she isn't expecting anything.  :O)

Thanks again to everyone.

Tracey

Anyone who still needs an address, please pm me.

Miss Theresa has received soooo many packages.  She even got a box today. (not sure from who thougth) .  Elaine she said thank you for your lovely note.  Melissa she was very happy to get Nora Roberts book that she hadn't read.  Jennifer sent so many books to her that I have to take a her few at a time 28lbs the box weighed. :O)  I know that there were many more books sent by others but she didn't give me the names.  Again I want to THANK EVERYONE for the generousity.  I can't tell you how happy this has made her.
