Hi, When I used to LOVE all of the YA books... All Judy Blume books, Sister of the Quints, the Nancy Drew Series (The hardy boys too! shhh) but I specifically remember really loving this one book and I can't remember the title or author :( I believe the main character was a girl named Phoebe (I remember her name because before the fame of Phoebe Cates I had no idea how to pronouce it) I think the book was set in summer and she was trying to start up a baking business with her friend... Anyone have an idea what book I'm refereing too? I would like to revisit the book and see if it's as good as I remember it and if so would like to recommend it to my daughter who is 12. She's already read my other favorite The island of the Blue Dolphins and is now reading the sequel 'Zia' which I've never read but will after she's finished. Thanks a bunch! J |

My local library has a reference book that lists names of the main characters in children's books. Used it to look for picture books for gifts. It would be a large book kept near the children's librarian. |

It's Not What You Expect by Norma Klein has a similar plot. It is about a brother and a sister who start a resturant over the summer. I don't remember the main girl's name and Amazon isn't a help. Maybe. |
