Wow, when I went to add Kindle's DoD, I saw that there wasn't a 2016 thread.  Is that true or did I just miss it?

In any case, Elizabeth Chadwick's " To Defy a King" is only $1.99 today on Amazon.

If you want to start a new series-might take a look at Amazon today.  Lots of $1.99 series.

In HF land, I was able to pick up the latest in the Hangman's Daughter series.  Oliver Potzsch's 5 book series is $1.99 today. I was able to get "The Werewolf of Bamberg".  Heard really good things from some of you about this series but I haven't started it yet....

But the one I'm really excited about is "Whiskey Rebels" by David Liss.  Takes place just after the American Revolution(y'all know that's a favorite for me).  Nice drop from $8.99 to $1.99.

@Jan I read the first Hangman's Daughter and have the second on my Kindle. Seems like a good time to pick up the rest.

Whiskey Rebels will not disappoint.

Another HF deal but I need some input on this one.  Reviews are all over the place on Amazon and mention the use of a ghost writer-who is an author I've read in the past.  Does anyone have any insight?

"The Golden Lion" by Wilbur Smith(and Giles Kristian???) is $1.99.  Sounds right up my alley with my love of Cornwell and Angus but the reviews have me gun shy.

Wilbur Smith is one of my favorite authors.  He spins a darn good yarn!  I have some books on my shelf by Giles Kristan but haven't read them yet.

Thanks for the input.  "Golden Lion" is still on sale today-think I'll pick it up.

Not a time period I usually go for, but this one looks really interesting.   From Sande Boritz Berger "The Sweetness".  World War II-parallel lives of two Jewish cousins-one a teenager in America; one a young girl in Europe.  It's .99 today at Amazon.

This one has a wish list here at PBS.  Immortality, thriller, 16th century Florence to present day Paris.  Haven't read the author but it does look different and interesting.   $.99 at Amazon.  M. J. Rose's "Collector of Dying Breaths".

High seas adventure tale-smugglers'.  Never read this author but the premise sounds good.  Anyone familiar with it?  And FREE definitely works for the budget.....

This trilogy has been such fun.  Jack Absolute is like James Bond in 18th century scarlet regimentals.  Been waiting almost 2 years for the 3rd installment to drop in price and today it did.  From $9.99 to $2.99 for "Absolute Honor" (Jack Absolute #3).

Yay!

I could not get the link to print here - kept telling me Request Entity too large no matter what I did but for today, The Splendor Falls by Kearsley is 1.99 in case you don't have it yet.

I can highly recommend this one.  It's Susan Fraser King's "Lady Macbeth".  It's an Amazon DoD for $1.99.  Forget your Shakespeare-this is the "real" Lady Macbeth.  60 reviews-4.5 stars on Amazon.
