Also where do you get those cool avatars at bottom of your posts?

Hi Carol,

Welcome to PBS. Hope you love it here.

To add a book to your WishList, it must be a book that is not already posted. When you are doing a search for books to order and come on one that isn't posted, there will be a +Wish button. If you click on that it will add the book to your WishList. If you see one that says order this book, and you dont want to order it just yet click on the +Reminder button. You can order books directly from your Reminder list when ever you have credits to cover. To manage both lists, they can be found on the My Account tab, at the top of the page.

Thanks Cheryl

So the wish list gets created when I click links while searching through the database.  OK, I'll try that.  Yes I did find the place to manage the lists, but creating them wasn't clear.

I do love it here, have listed over 50 titles and had two of them requested, just joined late last week.

It makes the list for you when you click the Add To Wishlist button. Then just go under My Lists and you can bring up your WL and see the sorting options. If a book is in the system and you don't want to order it now or don't have credits than you can hit the Reminder List button.  That'll make a seperate list and tell you how many copies of the book are in the system.  You can also add your posted books to that list to see how many are posted already.  Eventually they are going to combine the lists into an unlimited WL.  The ones available will just go on hold until you are ready to order.  But right now the actual WL is limited to 200 books.

I haven't been able to get through all the posts on the new WL thread. If they merge the 2 lists, does it look like we an still see 1) where we are in line, and 2) how many books are in the system - if any?  That's all I want to know right now.  I'm still learning my way around to a great extent so I haven't been able to absorb all the changes that are coming.   Right now when I put a book on my wish list - I only use a "yes" auto-request if I have the credits to allow those  which means picking and choosing on a priority level - like I need the 3rd book in a series of 7 books and I want to have all of them before starting to read them.  I just hate getting hung up in the middle of a series when I only need the one to get to the othrs!  Pet Peeve!!  :D   Anyway, as you can tell - I'm a person that has trouble dealing  with change..."Change is our friend...Change is our friend..."  I really do try to make that my mantra on a continuing basis  - not so sure it's working!  ;D
