This book was very dry for me and the story really didn't pick up much until the book was roughly halfway over, but even then I somewhat regret wasting my time finishing it. Part of the reason I even finished it was due to the fact that the main character had grown up in my home state, so it was interesting to read about that. That's probably only one of the very few positive points I can make about it, as most of the book was a drag to trudge through in my opinion.

Plus, there is a creepy vibe to some of the characters and it's hard to say much about that without giving away part of the story. Let's just say I wanted to throw the book across the room a few times and if a sequel comes out, I won't be reading it.
