This was one of the first poker books I read. I was conned into the advertising of learning "secrets" directly from a pro, as he wins a WPT Tourney. This book barely goes into any detailed mathematical analysis. These instances are trivial and many times Gus claims to play by his gut feeling. He steals the blinds in many cases based on gut feeling without any mathematical reason for doing so. In the long run, you will not win at poker if you play by gut feelings. Read Chen's Mathematics of Poker if you really want to realize a positive return on your money.
