Handbook of Epilepsy Treatment
Broadly based on the acclaimed The Treatment of Epilepsy, a comprehensive reference book for the specialist, the Handbook of Epilepsy Treatment is a concise and practical account of the subject which presents the very latest advances in the treatment of this condition. It emphasizes practical, clinical management and decision making rather than the more technical aspects of the underlying science to fulfill its purpose as a working book for the day-to-day management of patients.
In her Foreword to this volume, Dr. Martha Morrell writes:
'In this beautifully written work, comprehensive information is combined with the expertise and perspective of one of the world's foremost epileptologist. Simon Shorvon dispenses facts and advice that will enhance any physician's ability to treat persons with epilepsy effectively and with compassion... . Our standards for treating epilepsy are rising. As practitioners, we should strive for the elimination of seizures and side effects for our patients. As a community of scientists and practitioners, we are also working toward a cure. We can use all the help we can get, and Simon Shorvon's superb handbook is most welcome.'« less
