Hello, I was just wondering if someone knows of any good flowers that do well in hanging baskets. They would be in partial to full sun.
Thanks :) |

There are petunias that are good for hanging baskets. Double impatiens look nice in them (I think these are more shade though - not sure about the New Guinea impatiens because I'm not too fond of impatiens. They're DH's thing.). Typing is ouchy today but I'll keep my eyes open - I think lobelia is another one but perhaps more shade? I tried it once with no success. I do love the fancier petunias and those do better as containers (messy though if you don't love them). |

The wave petunia's work really well. I've seen verbena and creeping phlox in some of the ones the garden centers do here. |

Emily S, Impatients are nice to put in hanging baskets as long as you dont have them in direct sun. I do them every year . They get beautiful. As others have said Petunia"s work great too.
Any books from my bookshelf are mailed out within 2 days . |

I think that partial shade-sun is just about perfect for any type of bloom. Another plant to consider is coleus. I've even used them in direct sun and they've done well. They look especially lovely when mixed with impatiens & lobelia and come in a multitude of shades to go with just about any color flower. The only maintenance is to pinch off the spiky flower stalks that will appear. |

Lantana is good in hanging baskets - take sun or shade and come in various colors. |
