"Hangman's Holiday is hardly an occasion for celebration. But what is cause for celebration is this edition of these classic Sayers tales. Amusing and absolutely appalling things happen on the way to the gallows when murder meets Lord Peter Wimsey and Dotothy L. Sayers' delightful working-class sleuth, Montague Egg. They're lucky encounters, indeed, for readers in search of irresistible entertainment."

Ms. Sayers knows so much, her inventive faculty is so prolific and so whimsical, and her sense of humor is so irrepressible that she cannot be dull.
