I love the pictures in this book. They are made by a collage of actual fabric and other materials. You can see the texture in the various pieces of cloth and even though the page is flat, the illustrations seem to "pop" off the page. I think my favorite is her pom-pom dress.

That said, I found the story cute. It seemed quite true to the way little girls think. I did not like the ending however.
