Well now I believe I like Captain Lacey quite a lot and I love the Regency time period. The plot of the mystery itself was not 5 star but I really like all of the characters; the Captain's very rich "almost" best friend, the pair of footmen that are brothers, Marianne, his upstairs neighbor and even the evil Mr. Denis. I can see that the author will have much to write about with all of these great characters.
I am going to buy the next two in the series and read them right away.
