After really enjoying Happiest Baby on the Block, I was disappointed with this book. Some of the toddler-ese *might* be helpful (I'm skeptical and don't see it working for the toddlers I know). Too much of the book focused on the same old parenting advice in many other books that centers around manipulation and control.

popular child-rearing book - not sure of the "toddler-ese" language author talks about, but the other theories, about monsters, potty training, etc are very helpful

Great tips to diffuse difficult situations and calm cranky kids.

I really liked this book. I felt like the baby one was really just common sense to me but this one made me think a bit more. It was an easy read (read most of it in just a couple hours) and I am going to take a bunch of ideas to help take care of my toddler.

I felt that this book offered some helpful advice and insight into how my child is experiencing life and dealing with it and the role I should play as a parent or ambassador. The part I found challenging was about speaking Toddlerese. I would find it strange to growl at my child when I didn't want her to do something...especially in public. I don't believe I will be following this piece of advice, but will use some of his other communication techniques.

I really loved reading this book. It gave me some very good insight on why my toddler is acting the way she does and what I could do to help her through this time in her life.

Some of it is good but other parts seem far fetched or manipulative.

This author kept comparing my kids to apes and make it 100% apparent that she belives we all came from apes and that the only thing she referances i couldn't get pack the first chapter. note to all authors don't compare my kids to animals over and over!
