Because others have expressed concern; I post this.

I requested a book on Sept.17th and I recieve it  from a nice lady in Rapid Cty ,S.D. today, the 20th. It was packaged nicely and addressed well. When I got the book out of the padded envelope it was in wonderfull condition. And even tho I don't always do it ;I sniffed the book and it smelled like a book. It's nice when a good plan(PBS) comes together.

LOL, Fara...I get transactions like that all the time...it's just that people seldom post here about good transactions.

Thanks for sharing!

I never cease to be amazed at the way most of the books I receive look -- pristine and beautiful.  I couldn't expect anything better from Amazon or Barnes & Noble.....  Wrapped with care and (I think) love (unlike Amazon or Barnes &  Noble, LOL).  Yep, on the whole, I think we're so incredibly lucky to have so many kindred booklovers who are willing to share the love!

Yes, that describes the great majority of my transactions as well...great condition, well-wrapped, received quickly. But we rarely crow about those transactions--just as with anything else, it's when there's a problem that we will howl loudly! So yes--kudos to all of us PBS members who do things right! :)

That's the story of over 400 books I've received.  Only one or two have been a problem, at all.

Thanks for posting this as it is nice to hear great things really do happen here. It truly amazes me whenever I open books that I get only to say wow this book looks like I just bought it from B&N.

I am so happy to see that people really do take care of their books. I did happen to receive a book last week, though,  that the reader must have not enjoyed the story as it looked as if she threw it across the room and hit the wall several times, lol It was pretty bent up front and back.

Have to say that the majority of the books I receive are in great to pristine condition. Wonderful folks on here.

Almost every book I receive is in good to excellent condition. It seems that most members are taking a lot of care not to pick up a book with wet fingers or crease the spine while reading it. Consequently, most of the books I receive seem brand new.

Actually, a lot of them are brand new. I recently received two new hardcover books from club members. I think it says a lot for the membership here at PBS that people are willing to spend more than $25 for a hardcover and instead of selling it on Ebay or Amazon they post the books here for us to share.

I'm always afraid that new members read these forums and think there are nothing but bad swaps when the truth is most trades are problem free.

While I am relatively new here, I too have had such a great experience here!
