Some of the books on my wishlist indicate I am asking for hardcover.  I really don't care whether I receive hardcover or paperback as my interest is in reading then reposting.  Is there a way to make that clear?  Is there a method where whichever version comes available first is chosen?

Hardcover VS. paperback is determined by the ISBN number if I understand it right.  When you mark it for your WL, is there more than one copy or ISBN number listed, so you could mark both of them, and then take either one?      D.

If you type in the title in Advanced search, you can do a search for only paperback versions. You might find that some of the titles you have listed in hardcover are available right now for order in a paperback version.  If not, you can wishlist both Paperback and Hardcover versions and see which one you get first.

Under "Book Browser" there is a small window that says "search type". It is defaulted to "POSTED BOOKS". Change it to "ALL BOOKS." Then enter books title or author. Uncheck CDs and Tapes. Start search. This will bring up ALL editions of the book even though they're not posted.  Hard Covers, Paperbacks, different editions. Add as many as you want to your wish list. You can watch them move up, hopefully. Just be sure when (if) you finally get one version to delete all the other versions.

Just be sure to remove all versions from your Wishlist when you get one of them, or you'll end up with multiple copies of the same book!
