This book is not what I was expecting. It contains 16 different articles, written by different authors, on various aspects of the HP series. As such, the writing styles varied and some theories were more successfully explained than others. I found most to be either downright silly (why S.P.E.W. will not work) to just plain boring (a viewpoint on heaven, hell and HP). I did not find this book engaging at all. The set up, divided along the lines of the four houses, was pointless.

Oh, and as it states in the preface, if Aristotle ran Hogworts, he would have run it just like Dumbledore did.

I loved this book. It gave a great spin on philosophy that my 14 year old understood. It's entertaining and insightful. This is not a novel! It is a spin on the traditional philosophic views.

This book wasn't as fun as it could've been but it's interesting.

Not really much insight into philosophy.
