I don't usually like mysteries that much, but this one hooked me from the first sentence, "I should have been born a man." Very good plot. Set in south Florida. Lupe Solano is a feisty, fiery Cuban-American private investigator. Very good read.

This was a enjoyable read very much like a Cuban Stephanie Plum. It also gives a feeling of what it means to be Cuban in America without too much political content. It would be a nice read between books that take a lot of concentration. I also wanted to have cuban food after some of the meals discribed. Maybe I will tonight. Enjoy.
