This morning, I got on the computer, logged into PBS, and checked to see if there were any books I needed to mail. I got off the computer, completely shut it down, and did chores. I got back on around noon, hit the url on my favorites list, and didn't have to log in. It came up as welcoming me back. I thought to myself that I need to log out when I finish, but forgot, got completely off the computer, shut it down, and got back on later. Again, I did not have to log in, and was greeted by Welcome Back Pam.
I do not routinely log out of PBS. It's usually the last site I visit on the computer before I shut the computer down. Has something changed that members are no longer required to log in? I have had to log in almost every time I use PBS. The exception to that is if I get off of PBS, then get back on before I shut the computer down, and that is not a certainty.
Can someone explain this to me?
