This is a strange little book. Hard to categorize. If it were a painting it would be some sort of modern art with identifiable objects but not quite representational. The writing style suits it with lean, straight-forward prose. Not sorry I read it, but I'm not too sure what I thought of it either.

A gothic western.

I had to read this one for a class. I actually really enjoyed it. The language is very straightforward, which I enjoy and all the characters are very interesting. I love how things are not as they seem and it is a very quick read.
