I really liked this book. SHORT and easy to read. I would be upset if this was the only book but it is a series so I just have to track down the next few books. I should say that the first 4 short chapters are hard to get through until you understand what is going on and have decided how you will say the names in your mind. After that it is hard to put down. I am looking forward to reading more about these charactors. this book is totally safe to let you kids read....your teenagers boys or girls will love it. your true romanctics will really dig it......Twilight fans will really enjoy this as well....less

This has a different twist to it than most others, with using animals, snakes, ect as its characters. It is a fast read for both the young and the old.

This book is my favorite book of all time.
I remember when I was a little girl, I would read in my closet when my parents thought I was sleeping. And I would read this book over and over and over again. Literally finishing the last page, and then turning back to the front of the book to start over again. And I would always find something I missed the previous time I read it.
This book has been with me throughout the years. The characters are so intricate and expertly woven together with enemies and friends and surprises. The main plot and the side plots and the history behind how the world worked grabbed me.
Especially the world building. Birds and Serpents are natural enemies but in this book, they come together to end a war.

The rest of the books were equally as good.
But this one was my favorite and still remains my favorite to this day.
